Yes, another Italian varietal with a hard to pronounce name (!) but trust us this wine is just so easy to drink you will be saying this with ease (“ski-oppet-ti-no”) meaning "gunshot" or “little crack”.

The delicate varietal (all but extinct in the early 20th Century before being lovingly revived in Northern Italy in the 1970’s) is prized for its distinctive white pepper and spice notes. Highly aromatic, medium bodied. Expect raspberry and cherry elixir flavours doused with cola, earthy spice, game meat and wild herbs. A crunchy and bright wine with multiple personalities at play. Exotic, interesting and moreish. Also unfined, unfiltered and made with minimal intervention.

Drink this as a chilled red and for even more fun, enjoy with some classic Chinese sweet and sour pork, Thai curry or a Margherita pizza.
